Sharjeel Inam Memon Pays Tribute to Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto on 96th Birth Anniversary, Highlights His Legacy of Democracy and Empowerment

On the occasion of the 96th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon paid heartfelt tribute to the late leader, emphasizing his visionary leadership that laid the foundation for a prosperous, democratic, and sovereign Pakistan. Memon recalled Bhutto’s historic contributions, notably the establishment of the country’s first unanimous constitution in 1973, a significant milestone that shaped Pakistan’s democratic framework. Furthermore, Bhutto’s foresight in initiating Pakistan’s nuclear program was highlighted, ensuring the country’s invincible defense and positioning it as a regional power.

Memon, who serves as the Provincial Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit, also discussed Bhutto’s legacy of empowerment for the common people, particularly workers, farmers, and marginalized communities. He emphasized that Bhutto’s policies were designed to uplift the lower strata of society, reflecting his selfless commitment to improving the lives of the nation’s most vulnerable citizens. In his tribute, Sharjeel Inam Memon also paid respect to the ongoing legacy of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto through the leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former President Asif Ali Zardari. He highlighted that under Bilawal’s leadership, the PPP continues to address the nation’s challenges with determination and focus. Memon acknowledged the significant political contributions of President Asif Ali Zardari, particularly his efforts in strengthening the federation, empowering the provinces, and promoting consensus politics through the landmark 18th Amendment to the Constitution, which decentralized power and ensured provincial autonomy.

Memon further emphasized that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s ideals of democracy, justice, and the rights of the people continue to guide every member of the PPP in their political journey.
