The Prime Minister Youth Loan Scheme has already made a significant impact, with more than Rs186 billion disbursed to young entrepreneurs, professionals, and business owners. In a significant expansion of the scheme, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that, beyond business loans, students can now access laptop loans to support their educational journey. A notification issued on Tuesday confirms that students aged 18 to 30, enrolled in institutions recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), are eligible for these loans. This initiative is intended to bridge the digital divide, ensuring that students have access to the technology necessary for academic excellence, research, and skill development in an increasingly digital world.
