Fatima Fertilizer and Akhuwat Foundation have officially partnered through a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed during a special ceremony in Lahore. This collaboration is focused on empowering rural women entrepreneurs through the Sarsabz Tabeer initiative by promoting financial inclusion and skill development. The agreement was signed by Asad Murad, Chief Operating Officer of Fatima Fertilizer, and Dr. Kamran Shams, CEO of Akhuwat Foundation.
The Sarsabz Tabeer initiative is dedicated to equipping women with essential training, resources, and financial assistance to help them succeed in agricultural entrepreneurship. This partnership reflects a mutual commitment to advancing gender equality and enhancing women’s contributions to Pakistan’s agricultural sector.
Expressing his views, Asad Murad emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment for the long-term growth and resilience of communities. He stated that the partnership with Akhuwat Foundation would help create opportunities that enable rural women to reach their full potential.
Dr. Kamran Shams highlighted the significance of this agreement in Akhuwat Foundation’s ongoing efforts to support women in agriculture. He expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, hoping it would lead to practical improvements in the lives of women and their families.
Adding further insights, Rabel Sadozai, Director of Marketing and Sales at Fatima Fertilizer, described the initiative as more than just a training program. She emphasized the creation of a strong support system where women can access resources, share knowledge, and expand their agricultural ventures. She also noted that as the first Pakistani company to align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Fatima Fertilizer remains dedicated to fostering sustainable and inclusive growth through impactful development programs.
