The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to make history with its first-ever trophy tour, beginning in Hyderabad and Karachi on Friday. The PSL 10 trophy, named The Luminara Trophy, will travel across 11 cities in Pakistan until March 29, as per the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The 10th season of the PSL will take place in four key cities—Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi—from April 11 to May 18. Before the tournament officially kicks off, The Luminara Trophy will be on display in various locations, starting in Hyderabad and Karachi until March 15.
Afterward, the trophy will continue its journey to Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Peshawar, and Islamabad. Details regarding the second phase of the tour will be shared later.
PSL CEO Salman Naseer emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating that the trophy tour is a tribute to Pakistan’s diverse culture, passionate cricket fans, and vibrant communities. He added that this effort aims to enhance the PSL’s reach and engagement with supporters nationwide.
This season, six teams will compete in 34 matches between April 11 and May 18. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host 13 matches, including both Eliminators and the final.
The opening match will see Islamabad United, the defending champions, take on Lahore Qalandars at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Additionally, an exhibition match is planned for Peshawar on April 8, with further details to be announced soon.
According to the PCB, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will stage 11 matches, including Qualifier 1 on May 13. Karachi’s National Bank Stadium and Multan Cricket Stadium will each host five matches. Karachi Kings will play their first match at home on April 12 against Multan Sultans.
This year’s PSL will also feature three double-header days, with two matches played on Saturdays and one on Labour Day, a national holiday.
