Illegal Peanut Factory Sealed in Peshawar’s Chamkani Area

Following orders from the provincial government, the district administration of Peshawar carried out a decisive operation to shut down an illegal peanut factory located in the residential area of Chamkani. This action was prompted by numerous complaints from local residents regarding the factory’s adverse impact on their daily lives.

The factory had been a persistent source of noise pollution, releasing harmful emissions and posing serious environmental and health risks to the community. Operating without the necessary legal permits, it had also violated zoning regulations by functioning in a residential zone.

During the raid, officials sealed the premises and apprehended the factory manager, who was taken into custody for operating the facility unlawfully. The raid was conducted under the supervision of senior district officials, who ensured compliance with legal protocols.

Deputy Commissioner of Peshawar, Sarfraz Saim Akram, expressed a firm commitment to curbing illegal commercial activities in residential areas. He stated that such operations would continue to protect the well-being of citizens and uphold environmental standards. He also highlighted the government’s zero-tolerance policy toward businesses that disregard laws and compromise public health and safety.

The district administration has called on the public to remain vigilant and report any similar illegal activities or issues affecting their communities. Citizens can contact the authorities through designated helplines or local offices, ensuring timely action to address their concerns.
