Imran Khan’s Sisters Cleared of Involvement in Jinnah House Attack Case

Police have officially cleared Imran Khan’s sisters, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, of any involvement in the Jinnah House attack case, declaring them innocent during a hearing at the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court. Their names were exonerated following an investigation into the violent events that took place on May 9, during which military installations, including Jinnah House in Lahore, were targeted after Imran Khan’s arrest. The investigation officer, during the court proceedings on their interim bail applications, submitted findings confirming that the probe had been concluded and that no evidence linked them to the attack.

With this development, the court dismissed their interim bail applications as they were no longer required in the case. This ruling marks the end of their legal troubles concerning the incident, which had led to widespread arrests of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and supporters. Many individuals associated with the party were accused of participating in the unrest, with several still facing legal proceedings. The case had drawn significant attention due to the large-scale protests and violent demonstrations that followed the arrest of Imran Khan, resulting in extensive damage to public and private properties, particularly military sites.

Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan had consistently denied any role in the events of May 9, maintaining that they were falsely implicated. They argued that their names had been wrongfully associated with the attack despite having no connection to the violent protests. Their exoneration by the authorities has now brought an end to the accusations against them, clearing them of any wrongdoing in the high-profile case.
