Pakistan and Bahrain Strengthen Bilateral Ties: PM Shehbaz Sharif Meets Bahraini Parliamentary Delegation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif engaged in discussions with an 11-member Bahraini parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to deepening bilateral relations with Bahrain.

During the meeting, the prime minister conveyed his warm regards and best wishes to Bahrain’s King, His Majesty Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, emphasizing the strong historical and fraternal ties that bind the two nations. He highlighted that Pakistan and Bahrain share a deep-rooted relationship based on common faith, history, and cultural heritage, which continues to strengthen over time.

Recognizing the significance of parliamentary exchanges, PM Shehbaz underscored the pivotal role such interactions play in fostering greater understanding, enhancing diplomatic relations, and promoting people-to-people connections between both countries. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to expanding cooperation across various sectors, particularly trade, investment, and economic growth.

The prime minister extended an invitation to Bahraini investors, urging them to explore the vast business and investment opportunities in Pakistan. He acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the Pakistani diaspora in Bahrain, who have played a key role in strengthening economic and social ties between the two nations.

Furthermore, PM Shehbaz stressed the importance of increasing the current trade volume between Pakistan and Bahrain, advocating for enhanced economic collaboration to unlock mutual prosperity. He also emphasized the urgent need for Pakistan, Bahrain, and the broader Muslim world to join forces in supporting the Palestinian people in Gaza and addressing their humanitarian crisis.

The meeting was attended by prominent government officials, including National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, and other senior representatives, further highlighting the importance Pakistan places on strengthening diplomatic and parliamentary ties with Bahrain.
