The trophy for the upcoming Pakistan-New Zealand T20I series was officially revealed on Thursday at the scenic Port Hills in Christchurch. The unveiling ceremony featured Pakistan’s top-order batter Mohammad Haris and New Zealand’s experienced spinner Ish Sodhi, marking the beginning of the highly anticipated five-match series.
Pakistan Squad Arrives in New Zealand
Pakistan’s 16-member squad, led by Agha Salman, has already landed in New Zealand. The players will have a rest day before commencing their training session at 1 PM local time on Friday. The squad includes a mix of emerging talents and seasoned cricketers, with Abdul Samad and Hasan Nawaz joining established names like Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan, and Haris Rauf.
T20I Series Schedule
The white-ball series will kick off with the first T20I on March 16 in Christchurch, followed by the second match on March 18 in Dunedin. The third T20I will take place in Auckland on March 21, while Mount Maunganui and Wellington will host the final two games on March 23 and March 26, respectively.
ODI Series to Follow
After the completion of the T20I series, the two teams will face off in a three-match ODI series. The first ODI will be held in Napier on March 29, followed by the second match in Hamilton on April 2, and the final ODI in Mount Maunganui on April 5.
