In the 60+ singles category, Hamid-ul-Haq progressed after his German opponent, Clemens Pflanz, withdrew from the match. In the 65+ division, Inam-ul-Haq moved forward as Iran’s Saeed Sirani conceded a walkover, allowing him to proceed without playing his opening round.
Tufail Cheema showcased his dominance on the court, securing a decisive 6-0, 6-2 win over India’s Sukumaran Vettil. His aggressive play and consistent shot placement left little opportunity for his opponent to respond. Meanwhile, in the 70+ category, Waqar Nisar controlled the game from start to finish, earning a comfortable 6-3, 6-1 victory against India’s Mridulal Barkakoti. His tactical approach and well-placed shots kept his opponent on the defensive throughout the match.
