President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have strongly condemned the brutal killing of seven bus passengers in Barkhan, Balochistan, a region that has been plagued by violence and terrorism. In their respective statements on Wednesday, the leaders expressed deep shock and grief over the incident, pledging to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.

Details of the Incident

The attack occurred when armed assailants ambushed a passenger bus traveling in the Barkhan district. The terrorists opened fire indiscriminately, killing seven innocent civilians and leaving several others injured. Authorities believe the attackers may have targeted the passengers due to sectarian or ethnic reasons, though investigations are still ongoing.

Statements from the Leaders

President Zardari condemned the attack as a “cowardly and despicable act”, emphasizing that such attacks are an assault on the very fabric of society.
