US Citizen Andrew Robinson Sparks Chaos in Karachi After Failed Marriage Attempt

Andrew Robinson, a US citizen who traveled to Pakistan to marry her 19-year-old lover from Karachi, caused a dramatic scene on Shahrah-e-Faisal, leading to major traffic disruption. The incident unfolded when Robinson, who had already faced difficulties finding accommodation, created chaos inside a moving ambulance, ultimately jumping out onto the road and refusing to return to the police station.

Struggles with Accommodation and the Ambulance Incident

Robinson had initially been taken into police custody at Tipu Sultan police station after she was reportedly left stranded in Karachi. When authorities attempted to arrange her stay at various guest houses, all refused to accommodate her, citing security concerns. As a result, she was moved to the Chhipa Welfare Head Office for temporary shelter.

On Friday morning, when she was being transported back to the police station in an NGO-operated ambulance, Robinson suddenly jumped out of the moving vehicle, causing panic. She ran onto the busy Shahrah-e-Faisal, one of Karachi’s main roads, disrupting traffic and drawing a large crowd.

Despite the authorities’ attempts to persuade her to return, she resisted and tried to board a rickshaw to escape the scene. However, the rickshaw broke down moments later, further escalating the spectacle. Once repaired, the rickshaw resumed its journey, but by then, a significant number of onlookers had gathered near Nursery, causing congestion on the road.

Guest House Drama and Alleged Theft

In a separate incident, Robinson returned to the guest house where she had previously stayed and accused the administration of stealing her diamond ring. She insisted that the valuable item had gone missing from her room and demanded it be returned immediately. However, the guest house staff denied any knowledge of the ring, stating that no such item had been found. The argument between Robinson and the management further escalated tensions.

The Marriage Controversy and Visa Overstay

Robinson, who hails from New York, USA, had reportedly arrived in Pakistan in October 2024 with the intention of marrying a 19-year-old Pakistani man from Karachi. However, her plans fell apart when the young man’s parents strongly opposed the marriage, citing the significant age gap between the two.

Following the rejection, her fiancé allegedly abandoned her at the airport, leaving her in distress. Robinson claimed she was left stranded in Karachi for seven days, during which time she had no proper place to stay, and her visa expired, worsening her legal troubles.

Current Status and Authorities’ Response

Authorities are now handling Robinson’s case carefully, as her visa expiration raises immigration concerns. While she remains under police supervision, officials are working to determine the next steps regarding her residency status and possible deportation.

Meanwhile, Robinson’s bizarre public outburst and the series of dramatic incidents have garnered widespread attention on social media, with many speculating about the true nature of her situation and the events leading up to her distress.
